Tater is a BEAUTIFUL Steel Grey TB mare for sale. She stands at 16 1/2h and has excellent conformation with great weight. She is very well proportioned, with a nice round back and lower than typical withers for a TB. She is starting to dapple this year, and her coloring is striking.
Tater is coming 5 years old and has never raced. She is extremely well bred, being a Secretariat granddaughter. She is very well put together with a short back, wide chest, and graceful top line. She is well muscled with a nice, sloping shoulder and very powerful hindquarters.
Tater is an absolute natural when it comes to hunters. She is consistent and bold to fences, a very willing and eager jumper. She has the right pace, stride, and cadence for jumping and will thrive with any rider that can point her to a fence.
A pleasure to ride, soft and supple in your hands, Tater has been ridden by several timid and inexperienced riders. One girl who rode her said that "she was like heaven in your hands" and another described her canter as so nice that "you could fall asleep on it".
Tater has been at the farm for close to a year and a half and has been in training for eventing, hunters, and dressage. She is an absolute natural in the Hunter ring where her striking good looks and lovely movement get her noticed.
Tater has never been to an event where someone did not come and want to talk about her gorgeous good looks. What's even better is that she has a winning personality and a great attitude.
Showing that her training is based on correct methods, not through gadgetry, you can ask Tater to stretch down and reach for the bit (her favorite position), put her in a medium frame for hunters, a more collected frame for dressage, or just let her go on a loose rein. Her head will stay quiet and steady for an easy, enjoyable ride.

Tater is fabulous out on trails - she is an absolute water hog and loves to lead the way. On Hunter Paces she is consistent and has good energy to make the ride in whatever time frame you want - Bluebird or Tally Ho!
The best thing about Tater is her incredible personality. She is kind, willing and sweet. She truly wants to be your very best friend - if there is someone repairing a fence in her pasture she comes right up to "help" them. A wonderful, pocket-pal type of a girl - she wants to cuddle and just be right there with you.
Tater loads like a dream into the trailer, allows her ears to be clipped without ANY form of restraint, stands to be shod and bathed. Not a single bad habit.
Tater is a great traveler - toss your tack & Tater in the trailer and head off. Be assured that you will have a safe and sane mount when you arrive at your destination.
Tater is currently confidently going over 2' - 2'6" courses and is ready to move up. She has schooled cross country jumps including banks, ditches, coups, stone walls, and water crossings, all without even as much as a bat of an eye. She is consistently scoring well in Training Level dressage tests where she is always awarded high marks for her canter work
Tater is a classy horse that has the talent, brains and willingness to go far. She was born to be your next Hunter division winner, but she could also be your next Dressage companion or your next Eventing partner, and she has the talent for all three.
